In 2018, PARCUS and start-up KNOT developed a scooter hire scheme (for a fee) to make it easier to get around town when leaving car parks.
Since 1 March 2021, a new contract has been signed to set up electric scooter hire stations on an experimental basis.
Today, the Parcus network consists of 24 stations located throughout the Eurometropole, accessible 24/7.
Scooter hire works on a one-way basis, with users picking up a scooter at one station and returning it at another. The customer process is entirely paperless, thanks to the Knot City mobile application (compatible with Android and Apple).
