Bringing car parks to life

With the aim of making Strasbourg's car parks more attractive and lively, Parcus is seeking to create a link between the car park and the neighbourhood in which it is located by introducing Art into the parks.

Exhibitions and events” organised with local players

March 2016 – Bateliers car park

Print on a 5.80 x 2 metre tarpaulin in partnership with the L’Estampe art gallery. Parcus is home to a work by German artist Peter Klasen, a pioneer of narrative figuration.

Peter Klasen’s creations are inspired by urban reality, its signs and codes. “This work has found its place in Strasbourg’s Bateliers car park,” said the artist at its inauguration on 4 March 2016.

A young local artist, Alexia Bretaudeau, has created an original signpost to Klasen’s work “in the manner of” Klasen.
