Parcus Parking Facilities

GUTENBERG: A car park with a high turnover of users, designed for short-stay, non-pass-holder parking

Gutenberg car park is a city-centre car park, facing Strasbourg cathedral. It offers 254 parking spaces on three underground levels. This car park is open 24 hours, seven days a week and is staffed by a car park attendant.

No parking pass is available for this car park (fares are calculated according to length of stay).

A number of spaces are reserved for Citiz car sharing vehicles, electric vehicles and for motorcycle parking.

The car park was fully refurbished in 2007 to 2008.

PARCUS - Parking Gutenberg - Ascenseur niveau -2

A first series of major improvements, including a lift offering direct access to Place Gutenberg, was completed in 2010 and in 2015 the car park was repainted.

Staff from the car park also remotely manage the St. Nicolas, Austerlitz and Bateliers car parks when these facilities are unattended.

Strasbourg Eurométropole reaffirmed its trust in Parcus by awarding it a seven-year contract for the operation of this car park, starting on 1 January 2018. During the first half of 2018, the car park’s facilities were updated to upgrade services for customers.

OPERA BROGLIE: A multi-use car park for business and short-stay users

The Opéra Broglie car park is used by a clientèle of regulars, with parking passes or paying fares according to length of stay.

PARCUS - Parking Opéra Broglie - Entrée piétons

It is located in the city centre and underwent a full refurbishment in 2008.

This refurbishment won an award from the European Parking Association (EPA) in Vienna.

This multi-storey car park has six levels including one underground level and offers 447 parking spaces.

It is open 24 hours, seven days a week and is staffed by a car park attendant.

Two covered bike parking stations are provided within the car park as well as a Vélhop city bike station. A number of spaces are also reserved for Citiz car sharing vehicles and for motorcycle parking.

The Opéra Broglie car park remotely manages the Esplanade shopping centre car park and can also provide support to Gutenberg car park for the remote management of the St Nicolas, Austerlitz and Bateliers facilities.

Parcus works in partnership with the Opéra National du Rhin (opera posters displayed in glass window space, sale of discounted parking tickets, hosting of evening events, etc.).

AUSTERLITZ: A car park in high demand

The Austerlitz car park is a 482-space multi-storey car park in the vibrant and lively district of Krutenau. It has five upper levels and one underground level.

It is mainly used by customers paying fares according to length of say, but also has a small proportion of parking pass holders. Thanks to its convenient location, it provides a city-centre parking solution while offering more accessible fares than the Gutenberg and Opéra Broglie car park.

 

PARCUS - Parking Austerlitz - Façade végétalisée et parc à vélos

It is open 24 hours, seven days a week. Outside of peak times, Austerlitz car park is managed remotely from Gutenberg car park.

The 2010 refurbishment of the Austerlitz car park was carried out with a green focus – wood and glass materials were selected, a green façade was created, low energy lighting with occupancy sensors was installed, an exit lane was created at the back of the building and 224 sq. metres of solar panels were fitted to the roof.

This refurbishment project won the Local Public Enterprise Trophy in 2010 and in 2011 was the winner of the European Parking Association (EPA) Award in Turin.

Two covered bike parking stations are provided within the car park as well as a Vélhop city bike station.

Spaces are also reserved for Citiz car sharing vehicles, electric vehicles and for motorcycle parking.

BATELIERS: A multi-use car park for residents and customers paying fares based on length of stay

The Bateliers car park is located in the heart of Krutenau underneath a 70-apartment residential complex. Two underground levels are open to the public and one level is reserved for private residents’ parking.

The car park’s main users are residents from within the district. It is also used by patrons of the local restaurants and bars in the evenings and as an overflow car park when all of the city-centre car parks are full.

PARCUS - Parking Bateliers - Entrée et sortie Voitures

The Bateliers car park was fully refurbished in 2013. It offers 279 parking spaces.

This car park is open 24 hours, seven days a week and is staffed during peak times. When unattended, the car park is managed remotely by Gutenberg car park.

A number of spaces are reserved for Citiz car sharing vehicles, electric vehicles and for motorcycle parking.

The City of Strasbourg has contracted Parcus to operate the Bateliers car park until 31 January 2023.

Parking at Strasbourg University Hospital: Car parks designed for hospital patients and visitors, but also popular with city visitors

Parcus is in charge of operating all parking within the Hôpital Civil complex on behalf of Hôpitaux Universitaires de Strasbourg.

Parcus works closely with hospital management to ensure an effective response to visitor and patient parking needs while enabling the proper functioning of hospital operations (staff, logistics, deliveries, maintenance, etc.).

PARCUS - Parking St Nicolas - Entrée voitures

 

Parking facilities include:

  • St Nicolas car park, a 389-space multi-storey car park built in 1995 and located at the eastern end of the hospital – open 24 hours, seven days a week
  • Canal car park, a 100-space above-ground car park
  • Nouvel Hôpital Civil (NHC) underground car park built in 2012 and offering 222 spaces at the western end of the hospital – open seven days a week from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm
  • On-street parking for approximately 220 vehicles within the hospital complex

Parking at Les Halles: Shopping centre car parks

Parcus has been the city of Strasbourg’s appointed operator for the shopping centre car parks of the Place des Halles since 1979.

The parking area has three separate car park zones:

  • The P1 MARAIS VERT car park: 782 spaces
    548 pass holders including 166 Résidéo card holders.Open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, Mondays to Saturdays.Closed Sundays and on public holidays.
  • The P2 SEBASTOPOL car park: 543 spaces
    220 pass holders.Open 24 hours, seven days a week.
  • The P3 WILSON car park: 1,241 spaces
    200 pass holders.Open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, Mondays to Saturdays.Closed Sundays and on public holidays.
PARCUS - Parkings des Halles

Les Halles shopping centre is a 56,000 sq. metre complex including 35,000 sq. metres of office space and 15,000 sq. metres of residential accommodation.

These three car parks are located within the large, co-owned IGH/ERP building complex, which has communal and private quarters within it.

They are mainly used by shopping centre customers and staff, but also by many Resident and Résidéo pass holders.

These car parks experience a number of very busy periods (winter and summer sales, Christmas period and German bank holidays), as they are located just off the highway.

CENTRE HISTORIQUE PETITE FRANCE: An increasingly popular car park

This car park with its ideal location just off the highway, close to the TGV rail station and on the edge of the La Petite France historic quarter, offers 1,000 parking spaces on three underground levels.

 

PARCUS - Parking Centre historique Petite France - Entrée piétons

Opened in 1996, the Centre Historique Petite France is operated by Parcus on behalf of Strasbourg Eurométropole until 2031.

Over the last three years, Parcus has made every effort to enhance the attractiveness of the Centre Historique Petite France car park, including changing its name, installing more visible and brighter pedestrian signs, providing information to help users to find their vehicle, organising cultural events in partnership with the Musem of Modern Art and since 1 December 2017, offering 24-hour access, seven days a week.

During 2018, major embellishment and modernisation works will be undertaken, making this car park more user-friendly.

ESPLANADE CENTRE COMMERCIAL: A car park for local shops and businesses, and residents

In 2014, Parcus took on a 25-year contract to operate the public Esplanade shopping centre car park on behalf of the building management company.

Located beneath the Esplanade shopping centre, the car park was fully refurbished in 2015.now offers 256 parking spaces on one underground level.

It is managed entirely remotely by the Opéra Broglie car park attendant at all times. However, regular site patrols are carried out by external personnel.

This car park, which is in a mostly residential and student district where on-street parking in the vicinity is free, offers several special parking pass options: half-day, student, shopping centre employee, property owner, etc.

Pass holder only car parks

Parcus also operates the FUTURA and P2 ESPLANADE car parks for Foyer Moderne-Adya and the Esplanade building owners.

These car parks are exclusively reserved for parking pass holders.
