Under the authority of the Car Park Manager, the Car Park Attendant/Pay Station Supervisor is responsible for dealing with customers, overseeing the surveillance of the car park, ensuring its continuous functioning and taking appropriate measures to protect car park users’ safety.
Dealing directly with customers, s/he must ensure that a high quality of service is provided and that a positive corporate image is conveyed.
The main tasks in this role are as follows:
- Handling car park customers:
Guiding, advising and assisting customers; ensuring that the car park rules are followed, in an appropriately courteous manner.
Collecting payments for car parking, where relevant.
- Technical tasks:
Ensuring the proper functioning of all necessary equipment, including payment, surveillance and control systems, as well as any security systems (this includes ensuring that equipment is fully supplied and performing basic maintenance); ensuring the car park’s proper functioning in general.
Performing all necessary administrative tasks.
- General tasks:
Performing surveillance and security duties for the car park and any connected areas.
Performing remote surveillance and remote management duties for any other car parks that depend on your car park.
Performing cleaning and maintenance duties.
Applying company safety and quality procedures.
Based on the needs of the work organisation, the Car Park Attendant may be required to perform other related tasks not listed here.
Skills & experience
No qualifications required.
Experience in customer handling and surveillance.
Experience in a care-taking role, such as for social housing buildings, would be an advantage.
Familiarity with payment systems and buildings would be an advantage.
Familiarity with shift work.
Electrical skills (Habilitation électrique BE manœuvre).
